Waiting ((Charlie))

[Zara O'Riley]

Zara had gotten an owl, after placing an ad in the Daily Prophet. A, Charlie Weasley had replied and he seemed like a nice person. She had told him that he could move in as soon he wanted and she was now waiting for him.

Zara sat quietly curled up on the sofa that night, the fire roared and heated the room. Rain poured heavily outside, and the wind blew viciously.

Charlie walked up to the door of this manor house. He knocked a few times on the door, brushed his hair away and pulled his coat in closer around him. He put down his suit case that held almost everything thanks to his enlargement spell. He knocked again as he waited for the Zara O'Riley of this place to come and let him in.

[Zara O'Riley]

Zara jumped as there was a knock at the door. She really wasn't used to that. A log in the fire crackled loudly as she began to move. Zara got of the sofa hurriedly and opened the door.

She saw a man standing there, his cloak wrapped about him tight. Zara looked at him, he was dripping wet. Lightning flashed, and thunder screamed in the background. "Oh, please, come in." she said ushering him inside. SHe closed the door behind him. "I'm Zara O'Riley. I'm guessing you must be Charlie Weasley. Come through and dry off." Zara said walking back into the front room.

"Thanks" said Charlie as he followed her into the house "Yeah thats me, pleased to meet you Zara". As he got into the front room he pulled of his coat revealing his typical work clothes underneath. He put his coat up on one of the hooks and cast a quick drying spell over him. He brushed a droplet of water from his leather vest. He had chosen to wear this not his long sleeve, Salamander-hide shirt.

It wasn't that cold. Not compared to Romania. It didn't rain in Romania, no it was never warm enough for that. It had snow and sleet but never rain. Even though it wasn't that cold for him he could do with something warming, a firewhiskey or a butterbear. "Nice place you got here." he said "Its nice and..." he stopped as he looked around "Big" he finally said not knowing what else to say.

Zara gave a small laugh, she brushed some hair out of her face. She looked at Charlie, "Would you like me to show yoou around the house?" Zara asked him. As Zara looked at Charlie she realized how handsome he was. Zara shook the thoughts out of her head andsmiled at him.

"That would probably be a good idea." said Charlie. He looked back at the girl. She wasn't that old but still pretty. She'd make a boy her age a happy guy. He went to pick up his suit case the realized that would be silly he could always call it up to his room when he found out which room it was. "Okay well were shall we start?" he asked.

[Zara O'Riley]

Zara smiled, "Follow me." she said to Charlie. Zara walked through the dimly lit house slowly. She showed Charlie Kitchen and Dining Room. They were all on the first floor. She pointed down a set of steps in the kitchen. "Thats the basement. If you ever want any peace that's one place to go."

Zara then walked up to the second floor with him. There was the dark room, as Zara like to do some muggle photography. To bathrooms and Zara's pride, the study. It was larger than any other room on the floor. Zara walked in and said, "Another place to come for peace." she said.

The girl then trekked to the third floor. "There are where all the bedrooms are." she told Charlie. There were five different room on the floor. "My room is the one that is directly opposite us. Before you chose a room there's one other place you should know about."

Zara quickly walked across the landing to her room, opening the door she walked in. Zara carefully pulled a set of stairs from the ceiling, she walked up them and came to the rooftops. She stood there quietly, the rain beating down on her face. Zara loved spending hours on end up here. No matter what the weather.

Charlie slowly walked up the stairs. After following Zara who did the tour in shotgun speed he liked the roof top. he was annoyed that he left his coat down stairs because although it wasn't that could up here his leather would get wrecked if he stayed. He walked back down choosing one of the rooms and then bringing his stuff up. He began unpacking his stuff and putting it away.

Zara slowly came down from the rooftops to see Charlie had chosen a room. She smiled smally and walked down the stairs back into the living room. Zara sat back down on the couch as the clock struck eleven. She let out a small sigh.

In the room Charlie had chosen, sat a majestic black owl, with ruby eyes. Grimm was Zara's pet owl. As Charlie unpacked the owl kept his eyes on him.

Charlie hadn't notice the owl before but when he did he got a shock. it was just after he pulled out a pair of jeans. He jumped back the jeans landed on the floor and half the stuff from his suit cases came out. Didn't care about the bird but it had given him a shock. He was used to having owls around. Hell he had lived with a ghoul in his attick from when he was 5 to 19. He was also used to surprises living with Fred and George. But it shocked him.

He quickly packed up the rest of his stuff as the owl watch and then quickly walked down to the living room. He knew thats where Zara would be because thats where the fire was. He slid in. "I take it the Black owls yours?" he asked.

[Zara O'Riley]

Zara hadd curled up with a book in her hand. Charlie came into the room. She. "Yes," Zara answered his question. The owl felw into the room and sat on the curtain rail. "His name is Grimm." Zara told Charlie. She patted a seat next to her and said. "Come, sit and talk if you're not tired."

[Charlie Weasley]

"Nah I'm not tired." said Charlie walking into the room. He sat down on one of the chairs opposate Zara. Curling up he faced Zara "How did you come up with the name grimm? Its a very well grim name isn't it?" he asked. He realy didn't know much about this girl.

[Zara O'Riley]

"Hmmmm," Zaa said nodding. She looked at the bird with a hint of sadness in her eyes. "Grimm is a great pet, always great for company." she looked back to Charlie. "I named him Grimm because ever since I can remember he's always brought me bad news." Zara sighed and then said, "One more pet you should know about. I have a pet snake called Cassidy."

Zara looked at Charlie, "Tell me a little about yourself, I mean there's only so much you can say in a letter." she said reffering to the letter he had sent to her, saying he wanted to move in.

[Charlie Weasley]

"Ah I see" he said. Snakes were just like dragons, Minus the wings, Fire-breath and size. "Well I work with dragons. Have been for a while now. Always loved animals. I'm working at the dragon park in France. Moved here from Romania." he said. Lots about his work. Little about himself thats how he liked it. "What about you who are you?"

[Zara O'Riley]

"That's interesting." Zara said. She smiled as Charlie told her about his work. Then he asked about her. She waited a few moments before saying. "Sixth year student at Beauxbatons. The only family that is alive, my brother, has disowned me. Other than that I don't really know who I am." she said quietly.

As she spoke she did not look directly at Charlie. Her eye glistened slightly at the thought of her family. She had heard about the Weasley's, a large wizarding family who all got along fairly well. She wished she could have that again.
