Having made no plans with anyone that day, Braeden was free to do what ever it was he wanted. He started his morning like he always did, but having a shower, getting dressed and eating. After doing all that he headed out the door, and into town. He had a few things on mind that he needed to get done. First off he had something in mind that he wanted to get for Kirsten, which no one knew off. Second he needed to get his things for school.
After getting all that done, Brae felt like going out for a drink. Walking into the Poison Apple, Brae took a sat up at the bar. As the waiter came over to take him order, he didn't look up he simply just ordered his drink and continued to think about what it was that was on his mind. As the waiter came back with his drink, he smiled. "Thank you, " he said with making the slightest movement of his head.
He could hear people talking all over the bar, but he heard no voices that he recognized around him. Reaching for the bag that had Kirsten present in it, he placed it in side his jeans pocket so no one could see. Taking a sip of his drink, Brae continued to be lots in his thoughts.

Walking down the wooden stairs, Jacey looked about the bar. It was getting later into the day now, so people were no just starting to show up for their nightly drinks. Scanning the crowed, Jacey smiled. There were the normal drunks who liked to show up every night, then there were the people renting a room upstairs and then there was a couple of new faces. Making his way through the crowds of people and smoke, Jacey made his way slowly to the bar. Like normal, Jacey was dressed in a a pair of dark jeans and a black polo shirt left untucked. His hair was a tad messy, but the look worked for him. As he got closer to where everyone was gathered, Jacey had rolled his eyes. The girls were once again up on the tables obviously drunk as skunks and not caring who was watching them. Jacey grinned as he laughed quietly to himself.
"Buddy," Jacey said noticing one guy who'd had a bit to much to drink and was throwing knifes at the walls. Taking the knives from the older man Jacey sighed. "If you must do that, use darts, they leave smaller marks," Jacey said taking the knives back to the bar where one of the tenders took them away to be washed. Once again, Jacey let his eyes travel over the counter, as he spotted someone her knew, Jacey grinned making his way over. Taking the bench beside the younger boy, Jacey grinned but didn't say anything right away. It was obvious that Brae had something on his mind.
"Hey," he said after a moment. Jacey frowned, Brae was being quiet and not making eye contact with anyone, obviously there was something important on his mind. "I always knew you head was in the clouds," Jacey teased, "but you look way out in space right now. Is there something wrong?" Jacey asked. Waiting for his sisters boyfriend to say something, Jacey remained quiet.

Being lost in his thoughts, Braeden didn't really notice anything going on around him in the bar. As Jacey sat down next to him and started to talk, Brae jumped slightly as he wasn't expecting it. "hey," he said with a smile, after noticing who it was. "Nah, nothings wrong just thinking about things," he told him truthfully. "And you, how you doing?" he asked in return.
Taking a sip of his drink, Brae's head was still stuck in space, but his attention was somewhat on Jacey now. He couldn't remember the last time he'd seen him, it must of been a few months ago at the earliest. "Any knew women in your life my good friend?" he asked with the slightest devious smile. As much as Jacey was Kirsten's brother, Jace and Brae had been good friends even before Kirsten came into the picture.
Not sure whether or not he should tell Jacey about what he wanted to do, or what he had bought Kirsten. Brae kept it quiet for now. He wasn't really sure how he would react to it. Taking another sip of his drink Brae waited for Jacey to reply.

Jacey smiled as Brae jumped. He always found it amusing sneaking up on people and scaring them. Though as Brae realized who he was, the amusement died. "What things?" Jacey pressed wanting to get a full answer out of Brae instead of a pathetic half one. "I'm doing ok," Jacey answered. "Nah," Jacey said with a laugh. "No girl for me. Seems as though I'm just to much for them to handle," he said conceitedly. Jacey knew that if his sister would have been there she would have probably hit him.
Running a hand through his dark locks, Jacey let his eyes travel around the bar. Returning them to Brae, he grinned. "So," he said. "What things were you thinking about?" He asked once again as he still had not received a full answer from Brae.

Brae smiled as Jacey asked what things he was thinking about. He knew that question would be coming if he didn't tell him right away. "Well your sister for one thing, and school for another, " he told him truthfully. Braeden had been thinking about Kirsten, that he wasn't lying about, he was thinking about what he had bought her, but he wasn't about to just come clean with Jacey right now. He wasn't lying about thinking about school either, he had been thinking about what it was he was going to do that year, being his final one in all.
"well that's good to here, but I'm surprised, no girls. How odd." he teased, Jacey wasn't really known for being with lots of girls, though the last time he talked to him he was with one for what he could remember. Though he laughed when he said he was too much for them to handle. Sounded like something Brae would say.
"You heard anything from the other three amigoes?" Brae asked Jace, he was curious to know, because he hadn't talked to them in a while. Taking another sip of his drink as he waited for Jacey to reply.

"My sister eh?" Jacey echoed as a question. "How is the little thing? I don't seem to see her anymore," Jacey stated frowning slightly. It wasn't as if Jacey wasn't around, actually the complete opposite was true. He was always around, it was the little blond he called his sister who was never home. Shaking himself out of his thoughts, Jacey smiled as Brae said he was also thinking about school.
"Just make sure to go out big and on top," Jacey said remembering his last year at school. He laughed slightly as Brae mentioned the other three amigos. Jacey paused considering the last time he had talked to Jase, Ty and Charlie.
"Well," Jacey said slowly. "I sent Jase and Ty an owl about a month ago, but I haven't received anything back from either of them, so either they are really busy or they're dead," Jacey stated shrugging his shoulders. "As for Charlie I talked to him the other day he dropped by. He's thinking of going to work with the Dragons in Romania. I asked him if he was serious and apparently he is," Jacey said.

Brae smiled as Jacey called Kirsten a little thing, at least he wasn't the only one who though so. "She's doing amazingly hot, like always." he told her with a devious smile. Brae saw her more then Jacey did by the sounds of things, well actually it didn't surprise him, she was always with him out doing stuff.
"Oh don't worry i plan on it," he started, "People will remember me quite well at that school, and will be talking about me for years to come." he added, rather sure of himself. If it was one thing Brae was good at, it was making sure people never forget.
"Hunh, wonder if he's still with Beth." he stated about Jase, after hearing that Jace hadn't heard from him in a while. And Ty, well his guess was just as good as anyones, that boy was always up to something different. "Sounds like Charlie's having fun, he's always loved dragon's so i'm happy for him." he stated truthfully.
"I think some one should have a party soon, so we can all see each other again, but i know that will never happen, seeing how everyones busy now a days." he told Jacey then took another sip of his drink. Braeden had a feeling that Jace would start to play twenty questions with him about him and his sister, it didn't bug him that much, he found it rather amusing.

Jacey grinned. "By hot I'm guessing you mean she's managing to stay in trouble and her mouth is still as quick as normal," Jacey said teasing his sister even though she was no where around. Jacey chuckled as Brae said he planned n going out big. "A little sure of ourselves are we?" Jacey asked jokingly.
"I don't know," Jacey said at the comment of Jase still being with Beth. He shrugged his shoulders. "He could be I guess, he was crazy about her last I knew but things change and stuff happens," Jacey said pushing a hand through his dark hair. He would know that better than anyone. Shaking his head slowly, Jacey's eyes flicked toward the door as another person walked in. The only problem with owning a bar in his opinion was you had to aware of everything.
"A party would be fun," Jacey said agreeing. "Though you're right. I would be almost impossible to get everyone together again," he said frowning slightly. Remembering Brae had put something in his pocket before Jacey had sat down, he decided to ask about. "So," Jacey said slowly. "I saw you put something in your pocket before I sat down," Jacey commented. "Mind sharing with a friend what it is?" He asked wondering whether Brae would tell him or not.

Brae laughed along with Jace at his comment he had about Kirsten, "Ya that's what i mean." he agreed. "Nah, i'm just sure of my plans that i have, that i will go out big and on top." he smiled deviously. No one knew what he's plans were, and he didn't intend on telling anyone either.
"So true my friend." he stated in agreement with what Jacey had just said. Taking another sip of his drink he continued to listen to Jacey. "Parties are always fun, " he said as pictures of pervious parties ran through his head.
Brae smiled as he asked what it was he put in his pocket. He knew that question would come up sooner or later. "Well," he started, "If you really want to know, " he paused again. "It's for your sister, " he told him as he pulled the little box out of his pocket and placed it on the table. "What do you think?" he asked letting Jacey take a look at it, "I don't know when i'm going to ask her, but you have to swear not to tell a single soul about it," he told Jacey, wanting it to be a surprise for her especially.

As Brae produced a small box from his pocket, Jacey smiled. He had figured that Brae was going to ask Kirsten sooner or later, but actually seeing the ring, was actually evidence that his little sister was really going to be proposed too. Taking the small box from Brae's hand, Jacey opened it and looked at the small ring. It was silver and had a single diamond. There was no doubt in his mind that Kirsten would like it, in fact he figured she would probably flip when she saw it. Closing the lid again, Jacey smiled as he handed the ring back to Brae.
"It's really nice," Jacey said answering Brae's question as to what he thought of the ring. "But are you sure you want to jump into marriage with the one girl who would probably do you great harm if you were to piss her off?" Jacey asked wondering if Brae was actually ready. "She can be a lot to handle and you know just as well as I do that she doesn't listen," Jacey said stating the facts.
Pushing a hand through his hair, Jacey grinned. "Well if you think you can handle her I wish you the best of luck," he said with a warm smile. Jacey honestly couldn't think of another guy he would want to marry his sister, so he was actually very glad Brae had decided to do this. "I swear I will not tell anybody," Jacey said raising his right hand and placing his left hand over his heart. He was teasing Brae know, but if the younger boy knew him that well then he would know he was only joking, but would keep it a secret even to his grave.

Brae smiled as he said he liked it, though he didn't say anything till Jacey finished talking. "To be honest, i'm not sure, that's why i'm not asking her yet, but i've been thinking a lot about it." he told him in response to his first question. "But if it's one thing you must now, i havn't pissed her off, and i dont intend on doing that either." he added about the second part of his comment.
Braeden smiled as Jacey stated something that he knew was true, as much as he didn't want to admit it, but it was. "Ya i know she can be, and i know she doesn't listen all the time. But She listens to me, and we have our way of understanding each other." he told him to all honesty.
Taking another sip as he listened to Jacey finish talking, he smiled as he placed it back down on the table. Taking the little box back, he replaced it back in his coat pocket this time. "Thanx man, i mean i dunno what i'd do without you sometimes." he told him.

"Well actually buying the ring is a big step in the direction of asking her," Jacey stated mater of faculty. "You're a smart man," Jacey comment as Brae said he hadn't pissed Kirsten off yet. "And we hope you never will.. other wise we'll be picking up the pieces for weeks," Jacey teased a grin forming across his lips.
Jacey laughed. "Well at least she listens to someone," he said pushing a hand through his dark locks. "And maybe one day you'll be able to tame her," Jacey suggested though he knew the chances of that ever happening were slim to none.
"Well you wouldn't do much without me," Jacey commented. "With out me you would be lost," he said conceitedly still smiling. After knowing Brae for most of his life, Jacey really couldn't picture what life would be like without him.

Dressed to impress, Kirsten was sporting a short black mini-skirt and black strapless top that cut off just below her belly button and a pair of strappy black high heels, the short blond found herself with nothing to do. Her long hair was blowing freely in the wind as she walked- well more like strutted down the side of the road in pairs. Sighing quietly as she reached the corner of the street, Kirsten instinctively turned left down the road and headed toward her brothers bar. Once she reached the door, Kirsten pushed it open and walked in. Blinking it took Kirsten a moment to get used to the dim light. However once she had, Kirsten ran a small hand through her long hair.
Knowing her brother would be somewhere around the back of the bar, Kirsten made her way in the general direction. She heard someone make a fairly rude comment as she passed by. Turning, Kirsten shoot darts with her eyes at the man who promptly shut him mouth. "Creep," she hissed before turning. Flicking her hair over her shoulders, Kirsten made her way over to the back of the room. It took her all of maybe thirty seconds to spot her brother and.. Braeden. What was he doing here? He had said something about going shopping, but Kirsten hadn't expected to see him here. Smiling, Kirsten made her way soundlessly over to where the two guys were.
"Hello," Kirsten said softly next to Brae's ear as she came up behind him. Placing her arms around her boyfriend, Kirsten smiled up at her older brother. "Hey," she said a smile still playing gently at the corners of her pink lips. "And what might I ask, are you two men talking about?" Kristen inquired first looking at Jacey then at Brae. Kirsten wondered if either Brae or Jacey would comment on what she was wearing. Silently, the blond waited for an answer.

After hearing what Jacey had to say, Brae had to agree with him, on that buying the ring was a big step. And ya it was true he couldn't do much without him. Brae smiled, and took another sip of his drink. Just as he was going to say something back to Jacey, he could feel someone wrap their arms around him. At the sent of her perfume he knew right away that it was Kirsten even before she talked.
"Hey love, " he stated back to her. Then gently kissed her cheek. Moving slightly over on the bench so that there was room for Kirsten to sit beside him Brae smiled as he saw what she was wearing, but decided not to say anything because Jacey was there.
"Nothing really we were just talking about old times and friends." he told her, which was parsley true, and not a complete lie. Brae looked over to Jacey to see what his reaction to his quick thinking was. Brae placed his arm against the back of the bench indicating for Kirsten to come sit with him, if she were to get the hint.
"What did you do today love?" he asked, hoping she wouldn't stay on the subject about what they were talking about. He smiled at her, and continued to look at her as he waited.

Having been waiting for Braeden to say something, Jacey hadn't even noticed the fact his one and only little sister had walked into the bar. However as she started speaking, Jacey instantly knew who it was. "Hey," Jacey said with a quick smile. Jacey couldn't help but wonder what Braeden was going to say. After all, Kirsten had just walked in as they had been talking about her and Braeden. Watching with amusement, Jacey waited to see how this was going to play out.
Jacey smiled as Braeden played cool, pretending that nothing interesting had been going on. Looking his sister over in the dim light, Jacey rolled his eyes. "I'm tempted to put a charm on all your clothes where they would be long enough to cover all of you skin," Jacey threatened, not all that sure if he was bluffing yet or not. Sure Kirsten was seventeen, but she was still his little sister and he tended to be slightly over protective.
Jacey smiled at Braeden's comment about what they were doing. "What he said," Jacey said turning and summoning for the bartender to send more drinks in their direction. Once they had come, Jacey took one and took a sip. Placing the drink down on the table, Jacey pushed a hand through his hair out of habit not really sure what else to say.
