The city of Arcaida was founded in 1758 along the banks of the Shikoba River on the East Coast of the colony of Virginia. She sat thirty miles inland off of the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, the small port town of Durham only a few miles away from Arcaida’s center. It became a prosperous city, growing in population and wealth.
Behind the scenes of time, dark forces have always been at work, in every nook and cranny of God’s Earth there have been vampires, Lycans and demons tormenting the population. Throughout history there have been periods where they have made themselves more evident than others. In the late 1880s, all the breeds began to take heavy losses as hunters proved their existence to the world threw several live captures.
It took only ten years before Lycans were almost completely purged from existence, very few vampires had not retreated back to Romania and Eastern Europe where they could hide out the hunt. Demons were all but destroyed; the only ones left retreated to the Arctic wilderness of Greenland and Canada. This is why very few modern Vampires and Lycans are over one hundred and ten years old. In a victory, the Humans celebrated the destruction of darkness and forgot almost completely about what had happened.
The vampires, enraged by what the humans did, steadily began creating new children, seeking out ancient mysteries as to how to force the humans into submission. Global domination is their goal, something imbedded in every Vampires heart, the desire to rule. As part of their desire to rule over all of earth, the Vampires have been hard at work on discovering a way to overcome their greatest flaw, sunlight. They could march over the earth if not for this weakness. Vampires must never walk in the day if humans are to have freedom.
Lycans had less structure after the attacks and pack leaders had to find strays and create pups to begin rebuilding their society. They found the Vampires domination plans despicable and were much more satisfied coexisting with humans, though humans would always be considered food and treated as such when they were transformed. Still, even after both almost loosing their right to exist on earth, Lycans and Vampires still despised each other.
None know of the Demons and Gargoyle Demons’ plans; they are unorganized rogues with no social structure or culture to follow. They never ban together, but if they did, Vampires, Lycans and Humans would be in trouble, a Demon legion would be a severe threat.
Humans didn’t know what was happening until it was to late, they were successfully infiltrated once again, this time it was far worse than they could contend with. Governing officials, powerful businessmen, janitors, no one knew who they were. Vampire lords ran business out of the cities, the police and military were unable to do a thing about it, being either paid off or run by them. Lycans roamed the streets at night, consuming those unlucky enough to be out in the street. Even with these troubles, people still go threw life, trying to make a living. Vampires and Lycans are still outnumbered by humans 1000 to 1 and in a city of about 5 million. What will happen to the humans? Will the Vampires conqure the earth or sucome to the Lycan horde?
