Personality: Hermione is a very bright and intelligent witch with a brilliant mind. At Hogwarts it was often said that she was the brightest witch in her year. She is very outgoing, which has been seen from the time she first stepped on the train to go to Hogwarts, where she lost no time in introducing herself, and showing off the spells she had learnt. At first she was known as a stuck up know-it-all, not due to her ability to answer every question, but in the way she flaunted her knowledge, was patronizing towards other students, and extremely disapproving of their rule-breaking. She has changed, however, and has been shown to be a good and loyal friend who is willing to help others in their studies, support them, and will break rules if she believes it to be the right thing to do.
Hermione has the ability to keep cool in a crisis, and not only has a great memory, but is a very logical mind and can see the way out of many situations. Though she may not be overly modest about these talents, she is a honest and truthful girl, and will not pretend to be greater than she is, which has been shown when she told Harry he was more powerful than herself, and when she insisted on him being head of the DA.
As she has grown older, more and more of her compassionate nature has been seen. She is learning to worry less about rule breaking and more about the general good.
History: Hermione is the only child of two Muggle dentists. Growing up they were extremely proud of their daughter, and had high hopes for her. They were surprised when they found out she was a Witch, but they were also very proud and excited. They supported her through school, helped her get supplies and encouraged her in her studies. They were always a bit bemused at their odd daughter, but very proud of her all the same.
Hermione got off to a bad start at Hogwarts. She was the brightest Witch in her year, and had no hesitation when it came to proving it. She was bossy and had a strong disapproval of rule breaking, and would lecture her housemates in a very patronizing way, and had no real friends. However, after fighting off a fully grown mountain troll with Harry and Ron the three became firm friends. As time wore on Hermione became a little more accepting about rule breaking when it was necessary. It was in their first year, that they rescued the philosopher’s stone by overcoming a series of obstacles that challenged Hermione magically and mentally.
When the Chamber of Secrets was opened in her second year, Hermione, Ron and Harry were determined to find out who had done it, and though many people were accusing Harry, Hermione stood by her friend and helped clear his name by helping to discover the chamber. She also tried to protect Harry in her third year, though some of her measures were not appreciated (such as turning in his broom). Still, she stood by him, and helped him rescue Sirius and Buckbeak with the use of her timeturner, breaking not only school rules but Wizard Law.
When Voldemort returned at the end of her fourth year, Hermione was one of the few that believed it. She became involved with the Order of the Phoenix (though not a member). She instigated the DA, and gave Harry the confidence to run it. She tried again to protect Harry while remaining loyal to him, and saved them all from Professor Umbridge when she had them held captive with a bit of quick thinking. She went with Harry to the Ministry of Mysteries, and fought along side of him.
Thoughout all this, Hermione has remained at the top of her year, earning 11 OWLs, ten of which were an O level, and one an E.
Strengths: bright, good memory, brilliant mind, loyal, trustworthy
Weaknesses: her knowledge is all ‘books and cleverness’, she can be bossy and patronizing

She has brown bushy hair a bit past her shoulders which has become tamer as she has grown older.
Post Example:
Where else could a Saturday afternoon find Hermione but in the library, with her nose in a book, or five, as there were no fewer than that spread out on the desk she was sitting at. It was always an interesting sport to watch Hermione studying, she would appear to be reading one book, while turning the pages of a second, but yet she was taking notes out of a third. In practice, it was not like this at all, but it often appeared so to onlookers.
Hermione had learnt many things since she began Hogwarts, and while she did not still think expulsion was worse than death, she was determined to keep her marks up.
“Chapter Seven…” Hermione Muttered, turning the pages of one of the large volumes in front of her, while finishing off the sentence she was writing at the same time. As she worked, she tried not to allow her mind to drift, but it kept wanting to think about the events of last year, the war, what was coming. Sometimes she would have strange feelings, and wonder just WHY she was worried about school when there was the world to save, but she quickly shook those thoughts out of her head, and continued with her transfiguration essay by stabbing her quill into the ink with a little too much force.
Hermione was so absorbed in her work, that she did not hear the footsteps approaching her desk, and carried on scribbling in her neat writing.
