Personality: Maddie is fun loving, and always has been. She hasn't had the best childhood, but she doesn't think much of it now as it could have been much worse than it was. Somehow though, she always seems to be able to make a bad situation seem good to anyone who needs it. Looking for the silver lining has always come easily to her though like most teenage girls she is also prone to being a bit too down on herself at times. She tries not to make a habit of this though and it truly only shows itself while awaiting Quidditch results each year.
She has always been a hard worker, and recognized for her hard work. She is willing to try her hardest for something she believes strongly in. In school she gets into a bit of trouble when it comes to speaking her mind, but sometimes she truly can't help but think out loud. She holds very strong opinions, and if you ask her to be she will be bluntly honest with you, but only if you ask. More than once she has had to bite her tongue, literally, to keep from speaking her mind in situations that would have turned out horribly for her, especially when these situations include her classmates.
Maddie loves flying and the freedom one gets from it. In the air everything just sort of falls away, there are no problems when you're soaring around at great heights in the sky. There is no drama, no good or evil, there is just openness broken up every now and then by your random fluffy white cloud. The only thing on her mind when she's flying is how amazing she feels, and how nothing can touch her. She was flying before she could walk, and has always taken great pride in her flying ability- As far as she's concerned it's the only thing she can do well.
Maddie is a good girl; she always has been and always will be. Her entire
Beauxbaton career so far has been spent working very hard to maintain good grades so that she could become an Auror when she leaves. She works hard at everything she does, only two things have ever come easy to her in her life: Flying and Divinations, a subject which she has dropped to make more room for her NEWT classes. More than once her professors have asked if she had any Seer in her blood, which, to her knowledge, she does not. She may have found Divinations fun and enjoyable and an easy class to do just for the joy of doing it but she never really put much faith in her ability.
History: Madeline Kathleen Cozhart was born on a stormy November night in France to a wealthy muggle family. Maddie grew up on the coast of France so you could see the water from her backyard. Though she had never been much a water person, during her childhood it was more likely to see her walking along the rocky shore than it would be to see her at home.
Of course Maddie detested being home, as the only member of her small family she truly enjoyed the company of was her father and he was almost always off at work. Her mother, Sherry, was hardly the open-minded loving mother every little girl ought to have. She favored her older son, Ralph, over her daughter and wasn't against showing it by yelling at, Maddie to be more like him and stop being so flighty or whatever other trait she was making up that day.
At first these regular arguments affected Maddie a little, causing her to try and lie up to her mother’s unreachable expectations but when she got to the age of about 7 or 8 she gave up and decided to argue back whenever her mother brought something up. This only made the fights worse and more often, as talking back was something Ralph would never dream of doing. When she received her acceptance letter to Beauxbaton her parents were bewildered of the thought that their daughter was a witch. Not caring that her mum wanted her to stay and grow up a live a normal life she left for Beauxbatons.
When Maddie would send letters from Beauxbatons by an owl, her parents refused to read them. Nevertheless, after very many visits from barn owls they read the letters. Her parents started to get use to the owls and the acceptance of Maddie being a witch. When Maddie’s family had other wealthy friends over, all presences of magic would no longer exist.
During her earlier years she wasn't as outgoing as she is now. She was more focused on her studies but she loosened up alot in her fourth year. Her favorite subjects were Transfiguration and Defense Against the Dark Arts. The only reasons she loved them were because they were challenging for her but the one subject she detested was Potions. Even if it was challenging she seemed to never be able to brew up a potion correctly.
Strengths: Her friends for sure. They always bring out the best of her.
Weaknesses: Love, but isn't that for most people.
Wand: Fig, Dragon heartstring, 8 inches
Appearance: Maddie is a very well-kept girl. Since her mother expects her to always look her best she is always working on her appearance, if it is with her hair or make-up. Maddie’s hair is a strawberry blonde color and is naturally curly, though it doesn't take much effort for it to straighten. Usually though, it lays a few inches past her shoulder blades in small wavy ringlets, unless it is pulled back for Quidditch. Her favorite feature is her light blue eyes that are framed by lightly arching dark brows, and always seem to be shinning with glee.
Her face is slightly pointed at the chin with well defined cheek bones that are naturally rosy against her lightly tanned complexion. Maddie has full, shapely lips that are quick to smile and laugh. Maddie’s body to her is something to gloat about, not that she would. She is a very curvaceous young lady and has a flat stomach and small toned arms and legs.
Post Example: Maddie fell with a big thud as someone ran into her. There was a tingling sensation in her left arm and she had a feeling she broke it, or at least sprained it. But that was the least of her worries. She needed to get away from the incident; she didn’t even seem to worry about the person she got trampled by. As she stood up and started to walk away from the person she tripped over him and fell.
There was a sharp pain that shot up her left arm and moaned from the serious pain. She wished she had her wand with her but she seemed to have left it in the common room. Maddie used the nearby wall to support her as she tried to stand up. As she turned around to leave she felt the urge to ask the person if he was okay. She whispered so it wouldn’t be heard by everyone else in the school, “Hey…Are you okay?”
