Personality:
Daphne is a very shy and quiet girl. She keeps to herself and is hardly ever open with anyone. But when you get to know her, she will open up to you a little bit. Her life is kept to herself though, unless you need to know something.
If you do happen to become her friend, then she will be 100% loyal to you. She will always be there for you, no matter what. She doesn't judge you by your blood-line, or what house you are in, it doesn't matter to her.
Be careful though, because she does have a bad temper that can flare up sometimes. You don't want to be around her when that happens. Her temper will flare up if you hurt her friends.
Daphne does have a fairly low self-esteem. Because of this she normally shys away from any sort of crowds. She doesn't like them, and will not contribute to the concersation if there are more than 3 people invovled. She hates confrontation as well, and will walk away from a situation rather than face it. If it gets too much then she will tell a Professor about it.
If she is around friends then she is more open than if she were in a crowd. But she is still painfully shy and won't really talk openly unless she 100% trusts you, which is a major problem sometimes with her friends.
History:
Daphne was born in Dublin, in Ireland. She was born to her mother Grace, and her father Mark. She has 2 younger siblings, David who's 7 and Stacey who's 4. It was great to have a loving family when she was growing up, and being part of a big family was also great.
Daphne loves her younger brother and sister very much. She was and still is very profective of them and writes to them all the time. Her family are very supportive of everything that Daphne hopes to accomplish in her upcoming education.
They didn't have very much money when they were growing up, and as a result, Daphne didn't always get everything she wanted. But this didn't really bother her because she had a loving family
When Daphne started public school, she knew it wouldn't be forever and as a result didn't really try very hard. Although she was a half-blood, Daphne thought that she had magical talen because she often made strange things happen, and her letter arrived on her 11th Birthday.
Strengths:
Daphne would say her strengths are her loyalty, and her caring and considerate nature. She is also good at writing and loves to write stories and poems.
Weaknesses:
Daphne would say her weaknesses would be her bad temper when it flares up, and also her fear of crowds.
Appearance:
Daphne has hair that is short, just below her ears and brown with natural blonde highlights. She has dark brown eyes. Being shy, Daphne doesn't do a lot with her appearance, she dresses conseratively, normally in dark colours.
She is not thin, but not overweight either. She is solidly built. Her height matches her stature, being 5'11''. This is a great physique to play Seeker in Quidditch which she does a lot. People almost always don't take a second look at Daphne, because she is shy and blends in very well.
Post example:
Daphne was very excited to be starting her magical education at Hogwarts. She had arrived finally in front of the big oak doors of the castle. Soon they let all the new first years inside and Daphne joined the crowd.
They were lead slowly up the isles in the Great Hall until they arrived in front of a three-legged chair. Names were read out from a long list that a Professor held in her hand. Daphne knew her to be Professor McGonagall, Gryffindor's Head of House.
When the Professor finally called out, “Stevenson, Daphne!” Daphne stumbled forward and placed the Sorting Hat on her head. The hat took awhile to speak, but when it did, Daphne heard it say that she would be going into Hufflepuff.
Smiling, Daphne got up and headed over to the Hufflepuff where they were cheering and she shook many hands and looked around to watch the rest of the sorting.
