The library was such a serene place. It was usually free from that devilish intruder that was sound. The one place that a student had to retreat from the business of a normal day's activities, was here. Someone once said that silence was bliss, or maybe they hadn't. Even so, it was completely irrelevant to dwell on the topic. That was in the past, this was in the present. Who said what didn't matter right now. All that mattered was that it was quiet, and that the peace stayed a little longer. And with the librarian being her formidable self, how couldn't it?
Soleil pressed her hand roughly against her fore-head. The black paint on her nails contrasted greatly with the pale coloring of both her hair and skin. There was a silent screaming in her head, one that wouldn't leave no matter what kind of magical remedy had been used. Well, at least what magical remedy she used. You see, she refused to go to the nurse. It just wouldn't happen, she was quite terrified of any kind of hospitals: Muggle, Magical, and even small school nurses area's freaked her out. But no one with the exception of herself had to know that.
"God-awful headache, why can't you just go away?", She pleaded with the pain in an almost inaudible voice. She had now taken a seat towards the front of the Beauxbaton's Library. Which was quite odd in it's own. Soleil, being the loner that she was, would have normally taken refuge in the back, where most students never ventured. But today she'd settle for the front. Besides, out of the window she could see the sun shining as bright as ever. Most people wouldn't want to spend their time in doors when they could be outside playing Quiditch or what not.
After growling at a few obnoxiously loud first years, she laid her down on the table. It was cool, and slightly eased the throbbing pang in her forehead. She yawned, sprawled her arms over the table, and turned her head to the side. There where a few books on the self that was now in view that had promise to be interesting. Right now, though, the thought of reading a book made her want to gouge out her eyes.
