"I don't intend to," Wyatt said smiling as they ran side by side. He had intended to let her win, but it didn't look like he would need to. Wyatt quicked his pace taking a lead of about a step and a half over Emily and maintained it. He intended to just stay at this pace the rest of the race, he couldn't go much faster anyway.

Emmy smiled as Wyatt said he didn't intend on letting her win. Noticing as he quickened his pace, Emmy let him run a head of her for a bit. as they reached the front doors of the school, Emmy quickened her pace again. She was used to racing against her older brother and cosines, but normally for longer distances than just to the lake. Reaching his side again, Emmy smiled over at him. As they neared the lake, Emmy quickened her pace slightly so she managed to place herself a stride in front of Wyatt.
As her feet hit the sand, Emmy wasn't sure who had gotten there first or what had happened. Smiling, Emmy sat down in the sand, then laid down. Laughing, she shielded her eyes from the sun. "I have no idea who won," Emmy stated. It had been close, and she honestly didn't know who had won. Shrugging her shoulders lightly, the small blond sat up waiting for Wyatt to say something.

Wyatt pulled off his shirt as they reached the sand and collapsed, intentionally, into the sand next to Emily using his shirt to cover his eyes as he looked at the sun. "Lets just say between you and me you did, but if anybody else asks, I did," Wyatt said smiling. He also had no idea who had one, and it didn't really matter.

Emmy smiled, shaking her head slightly at what Wyatt said. "And let me guess if I tell anyone I beat you, you'll just deny it because you don't want people to know you lost to a girl right?" Emmy asked teasingly as she poked him in the ribs. "Alright," she said after a moment. "If anyone asks I'll tell them you won." Emmy smiled as she looked down at Wyatt- who had collapsed in the sand next to her.
"So are we swimming or not?" Emmy asked, not really caring what they did. Either they could go swimming or they could just lay in the sun, it didn't really matter.

"I knew there was a reason we came here," Wyatt smiled. "Yea let's go," he said standing up dropping his t-sirt where he had been sitting. He headed to the water and jumped in letting the cold water awake his senses. He dunked himself quickly underwater pushing his hair back as he resurfaced.

Emmy smiled as she too stood up. Peeling off her jeans and shirt, she dropped them into a pile next to Wyatt's shirt. Giggling slightly, Emmy watched as he jumped into the water. Emmy on the other hand, wasn't so quick to get into the water. Walking in, she shivered.
"I can't believe you just jumped in it's freezing," Emmy said as Wyatt resurfaced. Walking further into the water, Emmy squeaked slightly as the water splashed up over her exposed stomach. The cold water covered Half of Emmy as she made her way closer to Wyatt. "You're nuts," she said, once again referring to how he'd managed to just jump in. Bouncing slightly as she tried to get used to the temperature of the water, Emmy smiled. She knew she would have to go under the water eventually, but Emmy was dreading it. Closing her eyes, Emmy took a deep breath a dunked herself under the water. She figured it was a better idea if she did it to herself then getting dunked.
Resurfacing, Emmy brushed the water away from her eyes. The water was cold, but no that she was in, it didn't really matter. Slowly her body temperature started to adjust to the temperature of the water as she swam closer to Wyatt. Smirking slightly, she splashed water at him. Backing away, Emmy's feet could no longer touch the sand. Stopping, Emmy wondered if Wyatt would come after her or not.

"It's not that bad," Wyatt said trying to keep his teeth from chattering as he spoke. He didn't mind the cold water, so much since his body warmed up quickly. He smiled and faked looking offended when Emily splashed. He moved towrds Emily and splashed water back at her laughing slightly. He loved the water, and it was good to finally not be swimming alone.

"Ya it's not that bad," Emmy said rolling her eyes. "It's not ice yet.. though it feels like it should be," Emmy said. As Wyatt came at her and splashed water at her, Emmy went under the water again trying to avoid it. Coming back up, she laughed. "Eh!" Emmy said still laughing slightly. "That wasn't very nice," she said as she plashed more water back at Wyatt. "Ha!" Emmy said in triumph. Dunking herself under the water again, Emmy swam further away from Wyatt not wanting to get splashed. Pushing her hair out of her eyes as she resurfaced, the small blond turned back to face Wyatt and stuck her tongue out at him. It was childish, she knew, but she was having fun.

"OK now it on," Wyatt said smiling as Emily splashed him again. He swam after her and tried splash her again. This was fun, it was a good way to unwind and forget any other problems. Wyatt didn't really have any, but if he did they would have been forgotten.

Emmy laughed as Wyatt swam toward her. She heard what he said, but it only made her giggle more and back further away. "Well you've gotta catch me first," Emmy said the giggles subsiding, but her smile seemed stuck on her light pink lips. As Wyatt splashed her, Emmy received a face full of cold water. Quickly, she went under the water again and started to swim away from Wyatt. She's wasn't just about to let him get her. He'd have to work for it.

Wyatt wasn't a very strong swimmer, but he was decent. He swam after Emily keeping himself above water. He traveled faster that way, and he could never open his eyes under water. Then Wyatt stopped he had lost trach of where Emily had gone, so he stayed a float wait for her to resurface.

Turning around, Emmy how normally swam with her eyes open, could see that Wyatt was swimming after her. Doubling back, Emmy was just passing Wyatt as she noticed him stop. She smirked, circling around him. Emmy wasn't sure whether he could see her or not, but that didn't matter. Stopping behind him, Emmy resurfaced. "Behind you," she said now floating above the water. Not saying anything else, Emmy waited for Wyatt's next move.

Wyatt turned around as he heard Emily's voice, to see her now above the water behind him. "Well since you chose to resurface willingly, I'd feel bad about splashing you," Wyatt said smiling. "What'd you say we call a truce?" he asked searching for peace. It had been fun, but he would feel bad about splashing Emily right now, besides if the got bored they could just call off the truce.

Emmy smiled as Wyatt said he would feel bad about splashing her then. But in all honesty, she wouldn't have really cared. "Sure," Emmy said as Wyatt proposed a truce, though she wondered how long it would last before one of them decided to splash the other one. From where she was standing, Emmy still couldn't touch the sand at the bottom of the sea, but that didn't really bother her. Moving so she was now floating o her back, Emmy used her arms so she could turn herself so that she could see Wyatt. "So... What now?" Emmy asked. She honestly didn't care what they did, but he was fresh out of ideas.

"Umm...I hadn't thought of that," Wyatt said smiling bashfully. He hadn't really thought of what they were going to do after the truce was called. He dunked himself under the water running a hand through his hair as he reemerged.
"We could um...talk?" Wyatt suggested. The subject he didn't know yet, but it was an idea. He began to think of what they could talk aboutas he waited for Emily's response.
