Ron walked onto the beach, a towel in one hand, his yellow surf board in the other. He put his towel on the sand, to be ready for him when he had finished. He attached the surfboard to his foot, using the velcro and ran into the sea. Ron lay on his belly on the board and pushed himself out to sea.

"Tanning has to be one of the finer points in life." Giovanna stated to no one imparticular. She had almost fallen asleep as she lay on her pink and white strip beach towel. Clad in an orange and beige bikini the sun had, of course, warmed her to a point beyond comfort. Her eyes made to close when the sound of splashing startled her. She sat, or rather shot, up and looked around. Finally, she spotted the culprit. He wasn't to far away, but he wasn't close enough for her to tell who it was.
She stood and wrapped her towel around her, then walked a little closer. He looked familiar from where Gee was standing, but he was out in the ocean and she wasn't. Then again not many at the school had that fiery-red hair color, only two people that she knew of did: Ginny Weasley, and her older brother. Now what was her brother's name again.... Ralph, Rupert, Ron. That had to be it 'Ron'. Who would name their kid Rupert? Suddenly she had a distinct desire for him to fall of that surf board. It wasn't like her, but today she felt a little mischievous.
"Ron!" , she called, hoping that she had got the right name.

Ron turned around quickly at the sound of his name. A little too quickly actually, because as he turned around he fell right on the surfboard with a big splash. He kicked around in the water for a while before he pushed himself back up. "Bloody hell!" he said loudly. He took some deep breaths to get his breath back and looked towards the shore to see who had shouted his name. He shielded his eyes from the sun with his hand and peered towards the shore. He saw a girl he hadn't met before. "Did you call me?" he shouted out to her.

Amused, Giovanna watched as the boy twirled around and landed in the water.. By the time that he had popped his head of the water, she was laying on the ground laughing. The bushy brown mess that was a bun on top of her head fell out. She groaned, standing up and brushing the sand off of herself. Then she quickly bent down to pick up the red hair-tie that was used to keep her hair under control.
Her brown eyes finally rounded on Ginny's brother when Giovanna heard the 'Bloody Hell'. She rolled her eyes at his choice of words. Gee, wasn't big on cursing. It was a good thing that she hadn't responded to that just, because he had asked her a question
"Such language," she called coldly, but then, as if with a wild animal, added in a friendly tone "But yes. I did call you."

Ron felt slightly angry at the girl for making him fall off his board but even more for laughing at him. He went bright red like he always did when he was slightly angry or embarrassed. "What do you want then?" he called out to her. "Oh this is ridiculous! Im coming to you okay," he said because he was sick of shouting. He walked towards the shore, which is always hard, especially when you're dragging a board wth you. Finally he reached the girl. "Soo...?" he said. This better be good, he thought, she made me fall off my board and I've walked all the way back to the shore.

Giovanna shrugged in reply. She really didn't have a wanting of him exactly. She really had only wanted entertainment. To tell the truth, or not to tell the truth that was the question. Well, Gee, honesty is the best policy. She reminded herself. Thank god she was Italian. What? No one ever said he had to understand her...
"Realmente, ho desiderato appena vederlo cadere." She smiled warmly, even if it didn't match her response. "Oh, I forgot my manners, Giovanna Provenza, Or 'Gee'. Whichever you feel comfortable with." she added holding out her hand in offering.

Ron stood there with a slightly baffled look on his face as the girl stood there talking in another language, italien he geussed. He snapped out of this when he heard her talking english again. "O ye... I'm Ron, as you obviously already know, since you called my name out," he said stiffly but returned the hand shake anyway. "So was this why you made me come all the way over here then or not?"

She smiled at the dumbfounded look on his face. She withdrew her hand after the shake, then sat down promptly. Looking up at him, she had to squint her eyes against the harsh rays of the sun.
"Technically, I didn't make you come over here... you came of your own few will." She said shaking her finger in a matter-of-fact manner. "I was just introducing myself because it is, of course, the polite thing to do when you meet someone for the first time.... But, since you're already over here, you might as well stay and have a chat." Giovanna smiled, patting the sand next to her.
"So, Ron, old chap, what brings you out here on such a wonderful day? That is, besides the weather." Generic as the question may have been Gee found it to be an excellent conversation started. Even if she had a guess at what his answer was going to be.

Ron sighed, the girl had a point. He sat down slowly next to her ignoring the uncomfortable sand that was sticky itself to his wet swim shorts. He suddenly realised he was topless and started to feel a bit self conscious. "Well, I came out here to surf. The waves were looking good from up in the castle and I just fancied some fresh air. What better way to do it then to surf?"

"Breathe, maybe?" She said jokingly. The truth was Giovanna could name a million different ways to get fresh air besids surfing. That was probably because of her lack of talent in that area. She'd never been good at it. Flying was more her thing, feet not touching the ground and, even if it was cliche, the wind in her hair. None-the-less, she smile.

"True," said Rin smiling. "It's probably less painful then falling off a surf board anyway hehe." "I normally play quidditch but fancied some time off from it. I play a lot of it usually. This is like my say off!" He got up and walked a little way to pick up his towel. He wrapped it around him and sat back down. "So what do you enjoy doing?"

((Sorry I haven't posted... this is probably going to be short.))
If she where a dog her ears would perked up. He did say Quidditch, didn't he? That was one thing that got her going. Actually anything to do with flying got her going.
"Ah, Quidditch. Flying actually." She smiled happily. Her gaze drifted off into space, day dreaming, but it didn't last very long. "Bet I'm better than you."

Ron laughed and turned to face her. "I doubt you are better than me," he said with a cheeky grin. "Im amazing on a broom and I come from a long line of brilliant quidditch players, it's in my blood!" He dug his feet in the sand, he loved the feel of the stuff on his skin. "Im not the fortis seeker and captain for nothing," he said.

She rolled her eyes, and stood up. It was a habit of hers. Whenever someone proposed a challenge, and that was certainly were Giovanna thought the two were headed. She brushed the sand off of herself and looked over at him.
"Yes, well, we all know how boys are, don't we?" The tone of her voice was still playful. After a moment she then considered that he might ask for an explanation, as people often do. "Always boasting, trying to make themselves look better," then she added, jokingly, "for the girls."
Her gaze shifted toward him. It was another habit of hers to look away from people when she talked to them. This one proved to be more of a bad habit though. It was usually giving people the wrong impressions, or making it seem like she was disrespecting them.

Ron listened to what she was saying and smirked. What she was saying, was indeed correct but he would never admit it. "No we don't," he shrugged then said. "It's not fault boys are better than girls." He poked out his tongue a tiny bit so it wa barely noticeable. He knew saying this always touched a nerve with girls and was enjoying the effect it had on her. He noticed her looking away over hos shoulder and turned to see what she was looking at. Seeing nothing he turned back round to face her, a puzzled look on his face.
