Fear.
If you were to look fear up in a dictionary you would probably see something like A feeling of agitation and anxiety caused by the presence or imminence of danger. Or you would see something like A feeling of disquiet or apprehension: a fear of looking foolish. But I'm not talking about the second one, no. I mean the first one.
Living in fear.
Though I did not list that one, it was still a definition. But moving on...
I'm not saying Joanna lived in fear, because she didn't, I'm just saying that she had fears. But who doesn't? Okay you know what? Don't answer that. And you want to know why? Because I can name one person who doesn't have a fear. And he is yet to be named because Joanna doesn't even know who it is...
Yet.
Joanna left her common room wearing a green shirt, jeans and Vans. Usual for her because she always dressed like that. She'd been reading a book called Pirates! by Celia Rees. It was a muggle book but it was interesting nonetheless...
It was about this girl, Nancy, who had an arranged marring to a Brazilian guy who was evil. Then she leaves the country with her slave/sister, Minerva, on a Pirate Ship. So it just talks about all the things they went through.
That had absolutely nothing to do with Joanna but she still enjoyed the book...
She planned on actually leaving the school today. And she was going to too. So after she came onto the grounds of Beauxbatons, she stopped and thought where to go? She'd been at this school for four years, not counting this one because it has just begun, and had failed to go to the beach.
How sad was that?
So she walked toward the beach, humming the words to The One Armed Boxer VS the Flying Guillotine as she did. When she got there, there was no one there.
Oh well... I do fine by myself anyway...
She sat down and looked around. I wouldn't say she was bored but she longed for something to do... But she always did. Joanna wasn't one to just sit around and do nothing. She was an 'uppity' girl as her friends called her.
This is great. I've had From First To Last stuck in my head for the past hour and the beach is as boring as ever...
But no matter. Joanna always found a way to make things more... Livelier, if you would.
